How much smaller will my file get?
It depends on the content. Scanned and image-heavy PDFs often shrink by 50–90%; text-only PDFs shrink less because they are already compact.
Will the text stay selectable?
Yes. Text, fonts and vector graphics are preserved; only images are downsampled.
What if the result is not smaller?
